This document provides a guideline for locksmiths conduct and a practical standard for exercising good judgment in ethical matters.
This document assists staff in better evaluating situations and help locksmiths come to the right decision in most situations carrying ethics dilemmas, while authenticating the safeguard essentials to ensure Betalock locksmiths reputation.
Betalock locksmiths have the obligation to provide locksmiths with any information and advices regarding locksmith’s ethical issues concerns. This document provides a guideline for locksmith conduct that betrothed to be assiduous with the definite fiducially of locksmiths ethics behaviour.
Locksmiths' ethical conduct is a dynamic cognitive operation calculated to provide systematic conclusions whilst performing adequately and with determination in harmony with the Betalock ethical code.

However, Betalock attaches great value to the observation of local laws by staff members and will not tolerate any disgraceful conduct among its members.
Carefulness
All staff must act with the utmost discretion, in a manner that is consistent with the company’s code of conduct, and must refrain from any involvement in any activity that may have an adverse affect the Betalock reputation. All members of staff most safeguard the confidentiality of the information available to them.

Conflicts
All staff must strive to resolve conflicts in a responsive manner. In case of difficulties, locksmiths are expected to report to head office with their concerns while providing the information in confidence. Betalock board of directors will endeavor to make themselves available to professionals in order to deal with the sensitive situation.
Tools and machinery
Locksmith operating with Betalock tools and machinery must ensure correct use and relevant maintenance required.
Confidential information
All staff must protect the security of all confidential information. This information, gained or generated, must be safeguarded in order to prevent unauthorised use. All keys and code must be kept or communicated with Betalock staff only. Customer’s confidential information must not be communicated externally. Locksmiths uncertain of levels of confidentiality must seek advise from senior members of staff or consult with the Locksmith confidential information officer.
Public statements
All staff are prohibited from giving any unauthorised public statements. Locksmiths must not express their political views nor comment on any of the policies within Betalock. All communication must be kept inline with the position of the locksmith profession. Locksmiths may consult with management before responding to any press questions relating to the policies or activities of Betalock.
Conflict of interest
All staff must at all time avoid conflicts of interest between the job in hand and their own personal affairs. When dealing with customers, Locksmith professionals may encounter ethical dilemmas that in most cases lead to assertiveness. Any action under taken by a London Locksmith specialist must consider the personal interest of the customer, supplier or any other party. These steps are taken in order to prevent future conflicts of interest. London Locksmiths operating in the local communities must maintain an arm-length relationship with competition. And should not involve themselves in personal affairs that may jeopardize Betalock reputation.
Admission
London Locksmith operating under the Betalock brand must disclose any financial or business interest that may have an apparent conflict with the Betalock code of conduct. Locksmiths uncertain must consult with senior management in order to prevent conflicts of interest.
Contracting
London Locksmiths operating in Betalock must seek approval before engaging in any outside business activities. According to the Betalock roles and regulations, locksmiths may seek employment with other employers, or agents, as long as it does not impair on their performance. Locksmiths operating in tandem must practise with Betalock’s organisational standards. Locksmiths lust not apply other organisational practice while operating under the Betalock brand.
Volunteer work
Locksmiths operating under the Betalock organisation are encouraged to participate in volunteering work in local communities. These type of activities are highly regarded and selected local community locksmiths will be awarded a prize each year for outstanding contributions. Locksmiths interested in volunteer work may contact their supervisor for more information on our partnership programs within the local communities. All locksmiths are advised to consult with their supervisors in order to seek clearance and avoid conflict of interest.
Gifts
London Locksmiths are prohibited from soliciting gifts or favours from customers in connection with their locksmithing duties. London Locksmiths receiving gifts must report and seek approval from senior management. In the majority of cases, locksmiths will be allowed to keep their gifts. However, if it transpires that a gift given to a locksmith while operating under the supervision of Betalock, conflicts with company’s policy, the gift will be rejected and sent back to its origins.
After Betalock
Locksmiths who have ended their relationship with Betalock, or have been discharged temporarily, must comply with the organisational rules and regulations. That entails the handling of organisational and customers confidential information.
